582nd programme of the Global Nature Foundation (GNF)
Today 20.09.2022, GNF & PG And Research Department of Zoology of Nehru Memorial College in Puthanampatti jointly celebrated Snake Bite Awareness Day.
Dr.A.R. Pon Periyasamy, Principal welcomed the chief guest and honoured him . The welcome address was given by Dr.P. Neelanarayanan, Ph.D., Associate professor, and department Head. Dr. Naveen Krishnan, the President of GNF, was invited as the resource person to give an awareness speech to the students about snake bites. He presented the students with information in his speech on the Do’s and Don’t’s of snake bites as well as the symptoms, signs and first aid for snake bites.
A formal vote of appreciation was given by Dr. K. Saravanan, an assistant professor and research Advisor to conclude the event. The programme took place in the presence of Dr.C.Sasikumar, Associate Professor, Dr.C.Renuka, Assistant Professor, Dr.V.Ramesh, Assistant Professor and other faculty members of the PG Research Department of Zoology.
